The Downside of Jenny Craig Diet
The Jenny Craig Diet program was established in 1980, and now has expanded to over 500 locations globally, including the United States and Canada. The Jenny Craig program pretty much known all over the world, and is considered to be a very effective and safe diet for all women who need to lose weight. The program is so efficient that the basic program has not changed at all since it came out over 20 years ago! However, there is always the negative side of it.
The Program
When you make a decision to register for the Jenny Craig Diet, you will be made to fill out a questionnaire on your daily eating habits, daily exercise, and what your goals are to lose weight. A trained diet and exercise counselor will then meet you and will help you use the information provided on to custom tailor an effective exercise and diet plan to meet your goals. The plan will includes a daily amount of calories that you should target and exercises that you will need to carry out. Your weight and other body measurements will then be taken.
The Downside of the Jenny Craig Diet
While the diet may seem ideal in theory, in reality, a lot of people find that there are downsides to the Jenny Craig Diet. Most people are turned off, by the fact that they will have to microwave and eat prepackaged, previously frozen foods. You will also have to order a lot of food at a time and so will have to find a place in the fridge to store everything. The monthly fees can easily go over your monthly grocery budget, as the food is expensive. Your grocery bill can easily range $500 a month!
If you plan to eat out often, you will find it hard to stick to a similar plan, especially after the diet is over, and once the prepackaged meals are removed, cooking at home can become tough. Besides, the personal counselors for Jenny Craig are not certified health professionals or even dieticians.
Due to the high costs, you should look for special offers that Jenny Craig may put out, especially for new member. If you find yourself excited by the peer networking and would love to have a live mentor, Jenny Craig may be a helpful and effective program for you.
The decision is all at your hands, be the one to judge it.
